Today is the time, when you need to get the maximum when you spend some on your sites. It however is not an unachievable task nor so difficult, but the thing is that, you have to follow the basic rules of SEO and be patient to get the results as the results achieved by the basic techniques of SEO are said to be more durable and they really last long.
People use some of the tricks to get the ranking on some of the search engines. These techniques will raise the site's position drastically, but there are a few hazards in doing so, as this may result in SPAMMING of the site, which leads the site blacklisted for some main search engines like Google etc. Getting the old status for your site will not again be an easy task to do. The various techniques that are used for the boom in raising the rank of the site include:
a. Doorway pages: These are the pages that are used to land at from the url that may or may not be concerned with the one appearing in the search engines. When something is searched with the help of some keywords and the link for that keyword provided takes us to a page and after some times, it automatically redirects the page to other page that may or may not necessarily concern with the keyword. This is called doorway page.
b. Cloaking: When the website is designed and the content for it are different for search engines and users, this process is known as Cloaking. When the robots of search engines note such activities it starts the process to spam that particular site.
c. Unrelated Keywords: The use of unrelated keywords for the site misguides the user traffic along with search engines. It is bad from SEO viewpoint.
d. Hidden Text: Although the hidden text helps the site to get a good ranking it is also not liked by the search engines.
e. Automated Inquiries: These are the robots writing content as well as generating false queries.
f. Bad Links: These are the links to spammed sites.
g. Duplicate Contents: This process of writing the same content for the different pages is said to be one of the biggest hurdle for a site to stay at a good rank for some search engines.
